About Melvin Pitts

I am a native of South Philadelphia and have been a Cheltenham resident for over 15 years. I am active in the community as an assistant coach for Cheltenham Sports Soccer and Cheltenham Little League Baseball. I also served as a Ball for Christ basketball coach at Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church. I am currently a board member and on the Finance Committee with Heights Philadelphia, formerly known as Philadelphia Futures and Steppingstones.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Minor in Business Law from Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Science in Taxation from Philadelphia University.

I am a tax professional with experience in corporate, individual, and statutory insurance taxation. I currently work in corporate tax as a manager for Chubb Insurance company. I’ve worked with Lincoln Financial Group and for several public accounting firms, with Anita T. Conner & Associates being my first.

I am married to Dr. Andrea Pitts, PT. I have two children, Kelly and MJ Pitts, who attend Cheltenham Public Schools.
